1994 Yamaha Seca II

I never thought I'd like "one a them there new
fangled plastic bikes". I bought this bike thinking it
would be good transportation for my son, Derek.
I think this bike would look much better with the
decals removed. That silver lightning bolt running
down the side just makes it look cheap in my
opinion.
This bike was really gutless with all the noise and air
pollution restrictions on it. The air intake was so tiny
it could barely breath. It required about 15 minutes of
warmup before you could pull away without killing the
engine. I removed the airbox cover, K&N filter, dyno-
jet kit and now she really has some guts.
I guess I should have wiped all the dead bugs off
before taking this picture (I've been riding it to work).
The handling and braking is far superior to the old XS
bikes I've been riding. I've really become addicted and
now I will have to buy a second one for me.
Fairing was cracked from a spill by the previous owner.
Replacement plastic is nearly $400 (unbelievable) so
I reinforced the cracks with epoxy putty and it seems
to be very strong. Now it needs a little finesse to
shape it smooth and get it painted over.
